Mr. Grady Lee Nicholson, Sr. departed this life on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center.
A native of Rockingham, NC, he was a resident of Winston-Salem for most of his life. He was a retiree of Ramey, Inc. in Winston-Salem. He was also a member of Abundant Life Christian Ministries.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lizzie Nicholson; four daughters, Debra Jones of Brooklyn, NY, Josephine McDonald, Carrie Nicholson, and Tina Nicholson Neely (Robert) of Winston-Salem; three sons, Ed Nicholson, Jacques Settle of Winston-Salem, and Grady Nicholson, Jr. of Salisbury, NC; step- daughter, Barbara Jeter (Reginald) of Winston-Salem; one brother, Aurther Nicholson of Rockingham, NC; one sister, Alma Sneed of Rockingham, NC; one sister-in-law, Ruth Nicholson; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, August 16, 2010 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12Noon until 1:00pm on Monday at the Chapel.
