Obituary

On Monday, March 24, 2008 God looked down and called a soul home to her reward. There will be no more pain and suffering for her now. Goldie Robinson Hayes was born September 6, 1932 to Charlie Robinson and Amanda Washington in Richmond, VA.

She was a faithful member of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed. She was a member of the Debra Missionaries. Ms. Hayes came to North Carolina at an early age and attended the Winston-Salem School System. She was employed as a custodian for the school system where she retired.

Ms. Hayes was preceded in death by two daughters, Vanessa Mock and Gwendolyn Stewart.

She is survived by five daughters, Angela Robinson Moser (Min. Sylvester) of Rural Hall, NC, Nannetta (Milton) Fulton and Dawn Renae (Bernard) Hairston of Winston-Salem, NC, Pamela (Willis) Gross of Romulus, MI, and Natalie Hayes of Indianapolis, IN; three sons, Charles Robinson of Roanoke, VA, Nathaniel (Virginia) Hayes of Salt Lake City, UT, and Brian Robinson of Gastonia, NC; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday, March 28, 2008 at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend James Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1 pm at Friday at the church.
