Gloria Miller was born May 30, 1940 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Mary McKnight and Clarence Mitchell. She departed this earthly life on October 22, 2016.

Gloria Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Otis Miller of Winston-Salem NC; her brother, Harry Carter McKnight; and sisters, Lillie Beatrice "Tut" McKnight and Patricia Ann "Fizzie" McKnight.

Gloria was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Gloria was an employee of Lee Jeans, Inc. for over 10 years. She was a loving woman who always received people with a loving heart and laughter. She believed in being gracious when others helped her and thanking them for their kindness. Gloria was a lover of God and her faith was immeasurable. Her light shined so bright that it became infectious to anyone who ever had the privilege to be in her company.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her sister, Katie McKnight; daughters, April Mitchell and Jamora Mitchell; grandchildren, Juwana Alomia, Stephanie Mitchell, Natrice Mckee, Precious Hentz, James Johnson, and Monique Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Monday, October 31, 2016 at St. Peter's Church and World Outreach Center. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 12:30pm on Monday at the Church.
