Mr. Glenn R. Cribbs, son of the late Thelma and Joseph Cribbs was born on September 21, 1956, and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 30, 2014 after a brief illness. Mr. Cribbs was a former employee of The Meridian Restaurant in Winston-Salem. He was a native of Chicago, IL and enjoyed traveling and sharing his love of music across the world. He traveled with the Chicago Children's Choir for many of his adolescent years. In his later years, he sang locally with various bands, most recently the Carolina Soul band. He sincerely loved to spend time with his family and fellowshipping with friends.

In addition to his parents Mr. Cribbs was preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Cribbs of Chicago, IL.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris Cribbs; he leaves to cherish many fond fond memories his sisters, Edna Cooper of Chicago, IL and Sandra Gail Cribbs Ingram of Philadelphia, PA; his brothers, Donald Cribbs of Chicago, IL and Roger Cribbs of Chester, PA; one step-daughter, Fonda Holly of Kernersville, NC; two step-sons, Demond Holly and Francisco Holly; a special friend, Gregory Davis of Chicago, IL, and close family friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Demond Holly officiating. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Friday at the Chapel.
