Obituary
Mrs. Gladys Davis Smith was born to the late Will W. and Henrietta S. Davis on October 8, 1931 in Newberry, SC. She transitioned to eternity on February 13, 2013.
She was educated in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System. She retired from North Carolina Baptist Retirement Home.
She married John Henry Smith, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband and youngest daughter Henrietta.
Those who shall forever cherish and hold her memory precious are her daughters, Naomi (Marvin) Blackmon, Jr. of the city, Belinda (Rev. Frank H.) Smith, Sr. of Lexington, NC, Deborah R. Smith of the home; and one son, John H. (Stacy) Smith, Jr. of the city.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Monday at the Chapel.
