Obituary
On Tuesday, January 3, 2017, Dr. Gladys Whitworth Bray passed away. Dr. Bray was the Executive Director of the East of the River Boys and Girls Steel Band.
She is survived by her great-nieces, Meka (Darshkin) Burch and Bianca (Brandon) Albright; devoted adopted son, Albert Strong, IV; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Serenus T. Churn, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 1:30pm on Saturday at the Church.
