Obituary
Mrs. Geneva J. Watkins, 85, passed away August 23, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born to Zela and Martin Jones on August 20, 1927.
She was a very dedicated wife, mother, homemaker, and friend to many.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; all of her siblings; her baby daughter, Faye Ann; and her husband, Raymond H. Watkins.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda of the home and Pamela of Greensboro, NC; two sons, Raymond, Jr. of the home and Rickey of Walkertown, NC; three granddaughters, Shavonda, Zoe, and Lisa; two great grandsons; one brother-in-law, James Watkins; two faithful nephews, Johnnie and Clarence Hawkins, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 1:30pm on Friday at the Chapel.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Betsy English at WS Healthcare and the 8th Floor Doctors and Nurses at Forsyth Medical Center.
