Gary Davis, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 16, 1957 to Mary Anderson in Rock Hill, SC.

Gary was a renowned chef and loved what he did. Gary's passion was feeding not only your body, but your soul. His passion and dedication led him to rise through the ranks, eventually taking on the role of executive chef.

Family was of utmost importance to Gary. He shared a deep and loving partnership with Darlene. The couple brought three wonderful children into the world, Marsheen, Kinta and Mikal. Through his sons he was blessed with two daughters, Glennie and Carolyn; and four grandchildren, two grandsons, Gabriel and Jaylen and two granddaughters, Joie and Aubrey.

Gary loved sports and was dedicated to working out. He loved his grandchildren and tried to spend all his time with them. He was an avid volunteer at local gymnasiums and loved to play basketball.

Gary is survived by Darlene; his children, Marsheen, Kinta, & Mikal; two daughters, Glennie and Carolyn; his grandchildren, Gabriel, Jaylen, Joie, and Aubrey; brother, Dennis; sister, Lisa; grandmother, Mary; and a host of other relatives and friends.

His unending kindness, unwavering integrity, and deep love for his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
