Mr. Frederick Charles Roberts, Sr., 72, was born to Lewis Charles Roberts and Julie Allen Roberts on October 28, 1946 in Winston-Salem, NC. He departed this earthly life on December 21, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

He was educated in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and later joined the United States Marine Corp. and was honorably discharged after four years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 51 years, Mrs. Tometta Gray Roberts; one sister; and three brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons Cedric (Mary) Roberts, Frederick Roberts, Jr. and Reginald Roberts; three daughters, Faye Roberts, Annette Lentz,  and Nanette Penn; sister-in-law, Algine Coleman; sixteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers;  and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev V.C Crawford officiating. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Thursday at the Chapel. Interment will be held at 11:00am Monday, December 31, 2018 in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
