It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Frederick Patton Moore, who departed this life peacefully on June 20, 2025, at Summerstone Health and Rehabilitation in Kernersville, NC. He was 67 years old.

Born on July 16, 1957, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Frederick was the fifth child of the late Florence Sherard Moore and John Lee Moore Jr. Affectionately known to many as "Ricky," he will be remembered for his gentle spirit, deep love for family, and unwavering strength.

He is survived by his siblings, sister, Johnetta Moore Huntley; brothers, Horace Winston Sherard (Lisa) and John Lee Moore, III; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Frederick's life will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, located at 950 File Street, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 1:30 pm on Wednesday at the Church.
