Obituary
Mr. Fred Morris, Jr., a devoted family man and friend entered into eternal life on Saturday September 12, 2015.
He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on September 27, 1942, attended the Forsyth County schools, and was retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company after 30 years of dedicated service.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Fred Morris Sr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Braxton Morris.
Fred Jr. is survived by his wife, Barbara Chisholm Morris; three children, Stefan Morris (Myra) of the city, Carla Ugboro (Isaiah) of Greensboro, NC, and Tracy Morris (Edwin) of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Stefan Morris II (Amanda) of Oakland, CA, Hope Ugboro of Greensboro, NC, and Julia Sheff of the city; siblings, Mary Elizabeth Jones of Romulus, MI, Barbara Jean Morris of Southfield, MI, James Edward Morris (Doris) and John Lewis Morris both of the city; three sisters-in-law, Rosetta Williams (Harvey), Brenda Chisholm, and Alisa Steele (Frank); one brother in law, Albert Steele(Denise); three aunts and one uncle; a host of committed nieces, nephews and cousins; his "daughter-in-law, " Tammie Sheff (Robert); very special friends, Marvin and Gayle Foster, George and Virginia Howell, and John Addison; his faithful granddog, Cooper Lee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Homegoing services will be held at 4:00pm Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gwatney Leak officiating. The family visitation will be held from 3:00pm until 4:00pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
