Fred Abbit was born May 20, 1935 in Winston Salem North Carolina. He passed away May 10, 2018. Fred was a former employee of Russell Funeral Home in the 1950's and 1960's. He leaves behind daughter Cynthia Abbit; granddaughter, Dominique Jones; grandson, Julian Fred Abbit; great grandson, Jaylen Smith; cousin, Leroy Cooper; as well as his other children.

A private service was held at 6:00pm Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
