Franklin Eugene Fair was born September 14, 1946 in Winston-Salem to the late Elsie Sherrod. He passed away June 29, 2019 at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kernersville, NC.
Franklin was a graduate of Atkins High School and later served in the United States Marines. He was employed by Cox Trucking Company where he was a truck driver. Franklin was a faithful member of Red Bank Baptist Church where he was a dedicated member of the Missionary Board and on the Sound System Team.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Priscilla Ray Fair; daughters, Caprice Fair and Sharon Page of Boston, Massachusetts; sons, Franklin Fair of Boston, Massachusetts and Antonio Fair of Winston-Salem, NC; step-daughters, Twinette Williams (Wayne), Thessalonia Autery (Reese), Cheryl Johnson (Ine), and Kimberly Peoples (Gary), all of Winston-Salem, NC; step-son, Lonnie Taylor (Tiffany) of Greensboro, NC; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Janet Robinson, Deborah Brown, Evelyn Puryear, and Clarence Clark (Carolyn), all of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Red Bank Baptist Church with Rev. James Clyburn officiating. Interment will follow in Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 11:30am on Saturday at the Church.
