Mr. Frank Vernon Smith, a native of Winston-Salem, NC was born September 18, 1943 to the union of Mrs. Ethel Lee Smith Davidson and Mr. Henry Joshua Smith.

He was preceded in death by a son; his mother; father; step-father; grandmother; two sisters; one brother; and a host of aunts and uncles.

Mr. Smith attended Atkins High School. He was a former member of Mars Hill Baptist Church where he served as an usher.

Mr. Smith was a very hard and devoted worker from early childhood until adulthood. He retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company in 2000 after about 36 years of service.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Michael Smith, Antonio Smith, Franklin Withers, and Nicholas Littlejohn; one daughter, Nichole McClurkin; one sister, Blondell Alspaugh; one aunt, Virginia Black; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Private family memorial services will be held.
