Frances Charleen Blue, 62, a lifelong resident of Winston Salem NC, died Friday September 15, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home of Winston Salem, after a brief battle with illness.

Born September 25, 1954 in Winston Salem, Frances was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1972. After graduation Frances began taking nursing courses at Forsyth Technical Community College. Frances then had a host of other forms of employment before she began working for Forsyth Medical Center until her retirement in 2006 as an environmental services specialist.

Frances was preceded in death by her mother and father Mr. John B. Cameron and Mrs. Elouise Cameron; sister, Faye Alice Wingate; brothers, Michael and Arthur Wingate; niece, April Renee Wingate; and grandson, Bradley Broadway.

Frances is survived by her beloved sister Tangla Lee (Donald); brothers, Alfred Wingate, Robert Wingate, and John Cameron Jr.; four devoted loving daughters, Rosalyn Smith (Antonio), Tarina Blue, Charleen Poole (Jonathan) and Jerusha Blue (Tyson); 14 grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Frances was well loved in the community and a joy to be around.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Friday, September 22, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Serenus T. Churn, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:00noon on Friday at the Church.
