Florita Taylor was called to eternal rest on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Florita was born in North Wilkesboro, NC to Matt and Flossie Taylor on July 4, 1934. She graduated from Atkins High School and relocated to Chicago, IL where she worked many years and retired from Zenith Electronics.

Florita was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings, Carlos L. Taylor, Curtis Taylor, and Louise Taylor.

Florita leaves to cherish her memories two loving children, Ronda Lee (Brenda M) Taylor and Brenda Laverne Taylor both of the city; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence J. Taylor and Lester Taylor of the city; three sisters, Mary Scales of Chicago, IL, Connie Taylor and Margaret Taylor of the city; 3 nieces and 3 nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Waddell Cockerham officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Friday at the Chapel
