Mrs. Fern Felolia Jones, 80, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Fern was born September 30, 1932 in Martinsville, VA to the late Joe Fulp, Jr. and Fern Harris Fulp. She was educated by Porstmouth Public Schools where she graduated from I. C. Norcom High School. She retired from AT&T, K-Mart and was later employed by Sam's Club, where she also retired.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death her husband, John William Jones; her son, Joseph William "Joey" Jones; two brothers, Marshall Fulp and Norris Fulp ; a half-sister, Gloria Parker; and a beloved uncle, Hassel Fulp.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories one son, John Gregory Jones of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Deborah Elaine Jones of Greensboro, NC and Tammy (Jesse, Jr.) Johnson of W-S, NC; six grandchildren, Ashley Mathis, Jesse "Jay" Johnson, III, Mikayla Whitley, Erica (Tommy, Jr.) Bush, Kerri Jones and Christopher (Debbie) Jones, three great-grandsons, Blake Bush, Derek, Jr. and Javier Jones; three sisters-in-law, Shirley (Kenneth) Dodd, Marion Gwyn, Mae Frances Jones; a beloved and devoted cousin, Jean Douthit; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Walkertown, NC. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family will meet with friends from 12noon until 1pm, one hour prior to the funeral services on Saturday at the Church.
