Elder Fannie Mae Turner Smith, daughter of the late Deacon Willard Turner and Mother Glendora Adams Turner was born in Johnston County, NC on November 1, 1923. She departed this life on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center.

She was a faithful member of Temple Holiness Apostolic Church where she was an Associate Elder of the church. She was a great woman of faith and never complained.

Elder Smith was well loved by family and friends and will be missed. To glorify her presence she leaves to mourn her three children, Judy Smith, Joyce Smith, and Robert Smith of W-S, NC; one brother, Dr. W. Ruffin Turner of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Mary Bunch of Garner, NC; one aunt, Ruthie Smith of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, Dwayne Smith, Alexandria T. Smith, Jermaine Bohannon, and Jamar Williamson; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, January 6, 2012 at Temple Holiness Apostolic Church, 2218 NE 22nd Street W-S, NC with Bishop E.R. Scott, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 6pm until 8pm Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Temple Holiness Apostolic Church.
