A Life Sculpted in Faith, Service, and Love
Mrs. Fannie S. Bonham, a woman whose life was carved with grace, resilience, and unwavering devotion, entered eternal rest after a lifetime of service to her family, her community, and her faith. Like a masterfully sculpted work of art, her life reflects strength in foundation, beauty in purpose, and a legacy that will endure for generations.
Born on November 27, 1928, in Forsyth County, Fannie was the beloved daughter of Bessie Simpson and Charles Berry. From humble beginnings, she grew into a pillar of wisdom and service, shaping lives wherever she went.

Her commitment to learning never ceased. She earned:

Her nurturing spirit extended into education as the Food Coordinator for East Winston Primary School, where she ensured children were cared for with dignity and love.
A visionary entrepreneur, she co-owned the historic Chambliss Soda Bar in Winston-Salem and later became the proud owner of Wilson Barber and Beauty Shop. She also served as the Artistic Director at Hair by Jimi, where her talent and mentorship left a lasting imprint.
