Mr. Evester Smith, Jr. was born June 3, 1954 and departed this life on March 1, 2019.  He attended and graduated from North Forsyth High School, was a veteran of the US Army, and retired from Hanesbrand.

He was preceded in death by his father, Evester Smith, Sr.; mother, Minnie Smith; beloved sister, Linda Faye Smith; and a devoted friend, Gloria Jean Couser.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, April Couser and Vernee Couser; grandchildren, Travaria Couser, Nautica Couser, and Jowan Dupree Hunter; great-grandchild, Keshawn Ahmad Sterling, Jr.; brothers, Olander "Dino" Smith and Randy (Debbie) Smith; devoted niece and nephew, Melody Faye Smith and Tyrone (Jessica) Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Tuesday at the Chapel.
