Eva Marie Rutland Diallo was born March 17, 1959 in Winston-Salem, NC. She departed this earthly home for her heavenly home on Saturday May 4,  2024.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, James Rutland and Mary Frances Rutland.

Eva truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as spending time with family and friends. Eva had an ability to reach people in a deep, positive and spiritual way.

Eva could be found cleaning, working in the church or just sitting quietly watching and praying. She was definitely a friend and confidant to many. Her relationship with Christ was one of the most important things to her. Eva walked in Faith beyond measure.

Eva served as a faithful member of Mount Calvary Holy Church of Winston-Salem for close to 40 years. Leading prayer, missionary work, singing in the choir and serving as a Minister.

Eva leaves to cherish her memory her most precious and loved son, Quentin O. Rutland; one beloved daughter, Latricia Moore; her grandchildren, Aallies Carrigan, Aahli Carrigan, and Chazzni Clement; her great grandchildren, Christian Nikko Clement, Taelor Clement, and Chazzen Clement; her brothers, James Mack Kennedy, James (Catherine) Rice, and Ravenell (Tamika Gentry) Rutland; and a host of family and friends.

Viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Friday, May 10, 2024 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Mt. Calvary Holy Church. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
