Obituary

Eunice D. Benson was born January 19, 1936 to the late Fred Davidson Sr. and Sadie Tillman of Wadesboro, NC. She transitioned to her heavenly home on July 8, 2023. Her early life education consisted of attending the Forsyth County School System, graduating with her diploma from Atkins High School.

On February 20, 1959, she married her love, Frank Benson, in Winston-Salem where they remained one in unity until his heavenly departure in 1993. Together from this union they were blessed with five children.

Eunice worked for the Forsyth County School System as a custodian until her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed the time she spent working with her co-workers and the students. On her downtime Eunice enjoyed taking trips, watching Old Western movies, and attending church and Bible study at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church. At St. Stephen's she was a proud member for 30 plus years serving on the Nurse's Ministry, Missionary Ministry, and Seasoned Saints Ministry.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Benson; her sons, Audie Ricky Benson and Fredrick Benson; sister, Johnnie Mae Farabee; and granddaughter, Tuwanna Nicole Benson.

She leaves behind to cherish her beloved memory three daughters, Janice Melvin, Frankie Benson (Ronnie), and Tuwanna (Steve); 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Fred Davidson; nephews, Darry Davidson and Arthur Farabee; and a host of other relatives and close friends.
