Mr. Eugene Gray "Perk", 77, was born January 24, 1948 to Alease Gray and raised by his step-father, John Gray, Sr. He departed this life Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was a native of  Winston-Salem Forsyth County. He attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Carver High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After years of service, he was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings.

Left to cherish many great memories are his nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, December 22, 2025 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Monday at the Chapel. Interment will be held at 9:00am Tuesday, December 23, 2025 in Salisbury National Cemetery.
