Ester Ray McCray departed this life quietly and peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Ester was born on Friday, November 22, 1957 in W-S, NC at the Kate Bitting Reynolds Memorial Hosital. She was 57 years old when she slipped away into the arms of the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her loving father, James L. McCray Sr.; her cherished mother, Jonnie "Amanda" McCray; as well as her precious grandmother, Hallie Keith.

Esther leaves a legacy of love to her two daughters, Amanda Green and Kiara Green both of W-S, NC; grandson, Brenton (Tameka) McCray; sister, Cathy (Wayne) Royall of W-S, NC; brother, James L. (Tonya) McCray, Jr. of Stafford, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James L. McCray officiating. The family visitation will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am on Saturday at the Chapel.
