Ms. Estella ‘Lacie’ Bitting, 74, of Greensboro, NC transitioned Thursday, July 30, 2026. The fourth of ten children born to Mrs. Callie Odella Hunter Bitting, Lacie was known for her love of cooking, baking and catering. She often shared meals with co-workers, and during celebrations of family and friends. Known for her abiding love for her nieces and nephews, Lacie’s passion also included shopping for their favorite toys, teams, treasures and HBCU swag.

Lacie was predeceased by her mother, Callie Odella Hunter Bitting; nephew, Mikki Allen Hill; and cherished cousin, Clayton Bernard Keck.

Survivors include her sisters, Jacqueline, Patricia, Alice and Peggy all of Winston-Salem, NC, Barbara of Smyrna, GA and Veronica of Raleigh, NC; brothers, William of Winston-Salem, NC, Nathaniel (Cheryl) of Raleigh, NC and her beloved and cherished brother, Milton (Aleta) of Winston-Salem, NC. Also left to cherish Lacie’s love and memories are five nieces, six nephews, four great-nieces and ten great-nephews, many other close and cherished relatives and friends. Lacie graduated from Albert H. Anderson High School Class of 1969 and pursued Business School at Winsalm Business College. A retiree of the United States Postal Service, Lacie served tirelessly in both Rocky Mount & Greensboro, NC. She met and was also blessed with many cherished friends and associates during her service with Hanes Hosiery and AT&T, Winston-Salem, NC.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 12noon Friday, August 7, 2026 in Piedmont Memorial Gardens, 3663 Piedmont Memorial Dr. W-S, NC 27107. There will be no public viewing.

The family may be contacted and will receive friends at the home of Lacie’s brother, Milton R. Bitting, 1767 Greencedar Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
