Ms. Ernestine Andra Peters of 2506 Tantalon Place, known to her family and friends as "Ernie", slipped away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2013. Ernie was born February 24, 1950 in Winston-Salem, N.C. to Francine R. Peters and Roosevelt H. Peters. She has been a faithful member of Union Baptist Church of Winston-Salem for over 60 years.



She is survived by her loving devoted daughter, Kim N. Peters; two brothers, Theodore Peters (Sarah) of the city and Melvin Peters (Dorothy) of New York, NY; five sisters, Athenia Pouncey (William), Betty Boston, Audrey Brown (Billy), Iris Peters all of the city and Edna Da'Cruz of Brooklyn, N.Y; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.



Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Union Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Sir Walter Lee Mack, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Tuesday at the Church.
