Mr. Ernest Brown was born in Winston-Salem, NC on July 20, 1953, the son of Oscar Morris and Mrs. Grace W. Springs.
Ernest departed this life on September 18, 2010 at the Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center.
He was a graduate of East Forsyth High School as well as Forsyth Technical Community College with a degree in Mechanical Drafting and Architectural Engineering. He was employed with Vargo Prudent (VP Builders) and he served in the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Basil Brown and Viotis Springs, Jr.
Mr. Brown is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Brown and a daughter, LaKeisha Brown of the home; he leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Grace Springs; one sister, Florence Avis Williams; two brothers, Kenneth Springs (Freda) and Jerry Springs both of Winston-Salem, NC; a brother-in-law, Thomas Hairston (Cynthia); a sister-in-law, Theresa Hairston; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Thursday at the funeral home. There will not be a public viewing during these services.
