Mrs. Ella Glenn Giles, of 410 E 28th Street, Winston Salem, NC, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at the age of 107. Ella was born January 30, 1908 in Newberry, SC. She moved to Asheville where she met and married the late Alexander Giles with whom she raised two children, Virgil and Marilyn; and a grandson, Cedric.

She completed cosmetology training at LeMay Beauty School and began to do hair. In addition, she worked for the family of the late Bowman Gray as a domestic caretaker. Ella enjoyed her work and spoke highly about the time spent.

In addition to her husband, Alexander Giles she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Peterson.
Those family members who survive, will forever cherish loving memories.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12noon Monday, December 21, 2015 at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Kendall D. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Monday at the Church.
