Ella Louise O'Neill Bohannon passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at her home. Ella was born July 10, 1929 to the late Clifton D. O'Neill, Sr. and Maggie Watson O'Neill. She spent her life and career in Winston-Salem as a devoted family member, church volunteer, and educator.

Ella was one of six children of which 4 preceded her in death, Catherine Litaker, Clifton Jr., Mary Lillie, and her twin, Elmer.

Ella is survived by her daughter, Artesa of the home; her sister, Zenobia Jefferson; and many other close family members and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, October 12, 2015 at St. John CME Church with Reverend Omar Dykes officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Monday at the Church.

Over the course of Ella's illness, the family welcomed several loving caregiver into the family, and we thank them for every kindness shown. A very special thank you is extended to Delois Britton for her gentle, caring, and loving touch.

In lieu of flowers donations are strongly encouraged to Hospice and Palliative Care in order to assist their wonderful program of continued care for others in the same caring and professional manner in which Ella was served.
