Elizabeth Nadine Miller, affectionately known as "Tinka," was born on October 23, 1963, in Rutherford County to the late Arthur Carrier and Billie Rae Miller. She was the sixth of eight children, with siblings Gordon Miller and Dorothy Mckesson preceding her in death. She is survived by her one and only son, Joseph Miller; and her loving siblings, Cynthia Watkins, Robert Miller, Seath Miller, Pamalethia Miller, and Belinda Baker (Arthur).

As a child, "Tinka" was known for her joyful laughter and nurturing spirit traits that stayed with her throughout her life. She attended Rutherford County Schools, graduating from R.S. Central High School in 1982. Elizabeth "Tinka" attended Isothermal Community College before moving to Winston-Salem, NC, where she begin her journey in life.

Elizabeth "Tinka" worked as a Distribution Specialist at Herbalife and a transportation assistant for the Shepherd Center and AutoZone. She found joy in caring for others—whether family, friends, or neighbors—and especially cherished her role as a grandmother.

She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved being surrounded by loved ones, enjoying good movies and quality time together.

On January 22, 2025, Elizabeth "Tinka" went home to be with the Lord at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, surrounded by loved ones as her health declined.

She leaves behind her devoted son, Joseph Miller; her beloved grandchildren, Jamir, Josiah, Jaliyah, Jakai, Jacory; her siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:00am on Friday at the Chapel.
