Obituary
Elizabeth Ramseur Dodd was born April 8, 1927 to Oscar and Sadie Ramseur in Statesville, NC. She departed this life on May 14, 2014.
Elizabeth attended Statesville City Schools and moved to Winston-Salem in 1969.
She married Robert Ramseur, who preceded her in death, and to this union 4 children were born.
She was married to Nathaniel Harris, who also preceded her in death, and to this union 6 children were born. At the time of her demise, she was married to Matthew Dodd who survives her.
Elizabeth loved gardening, she was an excellent cook and homemaker, she loved her family dearly, and was always there to lend a helping hand.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 3 children, Jeffrey Ramseur, Nathaniel Harris, Jr. and Darryl B. Harris.
Elizabeth leaves to mourn her loss her faithful and loving husband of 32 years, Matthew Dodd; 7 children, Linda McDuffy, Sandra Ortiz, Tony Ramseur (Helen), Harriett Denise Rose, Towanna Harris, Rodney Harris, and Scott Harris; 13 grandchildren, Latasha, Alfrieda, Tonga, Tracy, Christopher, Rhonda, Majorie, Scheherazade, Courtney, Deanna, Lamont, Rodney Jr., and Nicole; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Bessy Williams; 1 brother, Anthony Ramseur; and 1 uncle, Whitfield Byers (Elizabeth).
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rochelle Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Wednesday at the Chapel.
