On January 8, 2007, Elaine Paige Davis, 69, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center. Elaine was born on October 12, 1937 to Mr. & Mrs. Parker Davis. She graduated from Atkins High School in 1956 and attended Teachers College in Winston-Salem, NC. She worked at Simplex Binder Company in New York, NY in the earlier years of her life. Elaine was also a volunteer for the March of Dimes and the Easter Seals Sclerosis.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Joy Davis and Rhonda (Saul) Secundino; nine grandchildren, Preston, Michael, and Montria Davis, Crystal Mims, Chaurdria Long, Kendra and Latrenda Bell, and Jessica and Kaylee Secundino; one great-granddaughter, Nyasia Fleming; one brother, Elmer Ray (Betty) Davis; a devoted niece, Gail Davis; one devoted nephew, Reginald Davis; one uncle, Edgar Debnam of Henderson, NC; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 2 pm from the Chapel of the Russell Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Paul Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until 2 pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
