Mr. Edward Williams formerly of 1044 Betty Drive passed away on August 26, 2009. He went to be with his Heavenly Father. He was born March 30, 1931 and he fulfilled his dream by joining the Armed Forces where he served in the Korean War.
He was a member of Compassion of Christ International Church where he sat quietly, looking around and clapping his hands. If you had anything to say to him, he would always say "yes sir or no sir" and "yes ma'am or no ma'am". He always had that type of manners.
He was preceded in passing by his aunt, Lula M. Faulkner; and cousins, Catherine S. Leak, Nathaniel Leak, and other cousins.
He leaves to mourn a dear sweet cousin and caregiver, Cozette S. Robinson of the city; cousins, Dorothy M. Johnson of Georgia; and a host of other cousins, and friends, and the Compassion of Christ Church Family.
Graveside services will be held at 11am Thursday, August 27, 2009 in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
