Mr. Edward C. Duncan, 72, was born March 11, 1947 in Mullins, SC to Meridy C. and Pearl B. Duncan.  He departed this earthly life on March 1, 2020 at The Citadel Winston-Salem.

"E.D.", as he was affectionately known, was educated in the WS/FCSS, retired from the City of Winston-Salem, and a held a welding license.  E.D. played a lot of softball and enjoyed being a boxer.  Everyone loved and knew E.D. as he will missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jerome Davis.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Brenda Duncan; children, Angela (Ervin) Newsome, Tameka (Roger) Glover, Antonio Lowery, Anthony Tart, and Edward Danzy; stepdaughter, Friss Barron of Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law, Bonita Davis of Cincinnati, OH; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Davida (William) Miller; brother, Michael Wayne Duncan of Newport News, VA; nieces, Idayua D. Brooks and Carrisa Duncan of Hampton,VA; nephews, Timothy R.D. Sims of Phoenix, AZ, Dwight Linville, Michael Toraine, and Michael Duncan, Jr. of Hampton, VA; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Donald Keaton officiating.  The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 11:30am on Friday at the Chapel.
