Obituary
Ms. Edith Vaughn Britton passed away July 30, 2009. She was born November 29, 1929 to Marion and Odessa Britton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Theresa Haynesworth, Marion Davis, Thomas Britton, Mary Fair, and Norma Britton; and a very special granddaughter whom she raised, Natasha Britton.
She is survived by five children, Fred Britton, Deloris Britton, Gayle (Marvin) Foster, Renee (Billy) Bradly, and George (Marie) Britton; one sister, Barbara Jean Evans; eight grandchildren, Sharon, Shona, Omar, Elizabeth Britton, Jamel, Gerrod, Corey Bradly, and Marvin Foster; a host of great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She leaves to us all precious memories that we will all cherish forever.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Samuel Cornelius officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
