Obituary
Mr. Edgar "Eddie" Boston, 83 of Beechmont Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home of Winston-Salem, NC.
He was born in Alexander County, NC on May 27, 1925 to the late Johnny Boston and Amanda Little Boston.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jean Dula Boston of the home; his son, Ricky Boston of Winston-Salem, NC; a grandson, Donovan Boston of Winston-Salem,NC; one sister, Willie Mae Perry of Taylorsville, NC; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, January 9, 2009 from the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Bishop Sherwood Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Friday at the Church.
The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice, as well as Dr. Grote and the staff of the Forsyth Medical Cancer Center for their loving care of Edgar during his long fight with cancer.
