Earline Davis Crawford was born September 28, 1936 in Latta, SC. She departed this life on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born to Hattie Johnson and Preacher Davis, the eldest of three siblings between this union. She was also the eldest of seven siblings after her mother's passing and her father's later marriage to Artensia Allen Davis.
Earline was married to Willie Crawford on January 9, 1954 in Latta, SC. Among this union they produced five children: two boys and three girls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Willie, Jr.; and siblings, Mae Alice Stewart and Michael Davis.
Mrs. Crawford leaves to cherish her memories children, Flaphine Watson Martin, Barbara Ann Crawford, Antoinette Crawford, and Alphonso Lee Crawford; nine grandchildren, Cory, Alicia, Andre, Ferrell, Erica, Cameron, Tia, Dashawn, and Antwon; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Frances Taylor of Winston-Salem, NC, Golden, Dolie, and George of NJ, Franklin of CO, and Willie and Patricia of NC; one son-in-law, Greg Martin; two brothers-in-law, Theodis Greene and Duckery McPhatter, Jr.; uncle and aunt, Fred and Gertrude Davis of Latta, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rennie Adcock officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Monday at the Chapel.
