Earl Clarence Hood departed this life on November 13, 2021. He was born on May 19, 1959, in Winston-Salem, NC to Earl Hood, Sr., and Helen E. Hood. He attended Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, worked for Sara Lee Hosiery, and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, where he enjoyed the men's Sunday School class.

To those who knew Earl, he was stern, observant, and a great artist. He never forgot a birthday and enjoyed photography. You could always count on him to have a camera to capture photos during family events and celebrations.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Sandra Hood (Charles) and Teaka Hood. He leaves to cherish fond memories, his five children: Toni Guess, Dr. Jeremiah E. Shipp (Vanita), Santana Hood, Tiffany Hood, and Joshua Anderson; siblings, Cynthia Hood, Kit Hood (Gail), Romel Hood, Sammy Hood (Theresa), Marilyn Lyons (George), Robert Hood (Darlene), Matthew Hood and Erica Robinson (Stephon); six grandchildren, Jaylen Hood, Krishawnda Hood Blockson, Nevaeh Hood, Mckenzie Allen, Elijah Shipp, and Joshua Shipp; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Private memorial services will be held at Monday, November 22, 2021.
