Drusilla Ann Frazier was born May 23, 1957, to Cleveland and Hattie Frazier. She departed this earthly life on July 4, 2023. She was the youngest of two children.
She received her GED from Forsyth Technical Community College. She dedicated her life to helping people who were ill. She began as a Certified Nurses' Assistant working on the renal floor at North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Forsyth Memorial Hospital GYN Surgery, Moses Cone Extended Care Center Geriatric Alzheimer's Unit, and Pediatrics of America with children for five years. She then relocated to Raleigh, NC where she worked with Duke Medical Center; AFL Provider, Building Bridges; Home Manager, Community Alternative; Home Manager/AFL Provider, Advance Health Resources; and Administrative Assistant at Turner's Quality Home Care. She received a degree in Medical Assistant from A.A.S, Miller-Monte College in Raleigh, NC.
Drusilla was a caring and giving person. She volunteered at the Durham Chapter of the American Academy of Professional Coders; Sister Care Assistant-Women's Empowerment and Jeff Major's Blanket Homeless Drive. She was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church. She loved softball as a youth until her adulthood and played for The Red Devils softball team. She also helped coach the baseball team of her grandson, Terion.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Terion Damonte Frazier; and her parents, Cleveland and Hattie Frazier.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, LaKenya Frazier Brown aka Tahiyah MuQit (Jeremy aka Abdul MuQit ); sister, Willie Mae Frazier; two nieces: Jamilla Atkinson (Larry) and Jasmin Frazier; great-nephew, Jayden Frazier; great-niece, LaNiyah Atkinson; one great-grandniece, Aquantia Fogle, three God nieces, Tjuana Saunders (Ralph II), Kamia Fogle, and Beautiful Kamille Williams whom she loved dearly; a God Sister, Marie Fogle; three devoted friends, Deborah Spaugh, Tammy Melton, and Constance Gilmore; Goddaughter, Selina Morrison; Godson, Chrishawn Potter; and a host of relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Russell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Wednesday, July 12, 223 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:00noon on Wednesday at the Chapel.
