Obituary
Mrs. Dorth "Ethel" Martin was born June 1, 1919 to the union of James Garfield and Charlotte Lucky Gillespie. Ethel received her formal education in the Rowan County High School System in Woodleaf, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William L. Martin, and one son William Marshall.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons; Jerry, Eric (Marcia), and Garfield; one daughter; Val; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, January 12, 2010 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ray Watlington officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12Noon until 1:00PM on Tuesday at the chapel.
