Mrs. Dorothy Mae Norris Davis, 84, of Winston-Salem passed away April 14, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home following a short period of illness she was born May 27, 1924 in Anderson, SC to Jaycee and Ida Norris, she was married to Richard E. Davis who preceded her in death. Mrs. Davis worked at Forsyth Laundry and Smith Dry Cleaner. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church serving 25 years and faithful on the Usher Board.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Richard E. Davis, Jr. (Gloria); four grandchildren, Richard E. Davis III (Laura), Kevin, Christie, and Melody of Detroit, MI and five great-grand children; a faithful sister-in-law, Mabel D. Evans; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwight Hash officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 11:30 am until 12 Noon Saturday at the church.
