Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Holiday Jones, 90 of 2909 Patterson Avenue passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Oaks at Forsyth Care Center. She was born December 23, 1918 in Sumter, SC to Fletcher B. and Susanna Holiday.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Left to cherish her memories are five children, Sidney (Diana) Jones and Anita (Tollison) Wright both of Cleveland, OH, Harold (Doris) Jones, Carolyn (Ervin) Transou, and Susan Jones all of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Linda Webster of Richmond, VA and Evelyn Wagner of Winston-Salem, NC; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Homegoing Services will be conducted at 1pm Thursday, November 19, 2009 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Henry McNeil officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 1pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
