Mrs. Dorothy Ann Allen Brame, affectionately known as "Bookie", 66, transitioned into eternity on Thursday, May 17, 2018.  Dorothy was born on June 2, 1951 in W-S, NC to the late Willis Allen, Sr. and Dorothy Clayborn Allen. She was a product of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, graduating from North Forsyth High School in 1969.

Dorothy was accomplished in many areas. She was a graduate of both Miller-Motte Business School as well as Aurora Beauty College and was a licensed cosmetologist.  She was also a flight attendant with Piedmont Airlines (currently known as US Airways). She worked for RJ Reynolds for many years before joining the team at Alltel Communications (which later became Verizon Wireless) where she remained until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. William O. "Bill" Brame; and her brother, Thomas N. Allen, Sr.

Dorothy is survived by her mother, Dorothy C. Allen; siblings, Betty A. Dickey (Alphonso), Willis Allen, Jr. (Pauline), Alfonzo Allen (Carolyn), and Vickie D. Anderson; 2 step-daughters, Charahnne Brame-Jefferys (Malcolm) and Knatashia Brame Cappel (Nic); a devoted aunt, Evelena R. Clayborn; 13 nieces and nephews who were like her children; and countless other relatives and friends who will cherish the memory of her amazing, irreplaceable spirit.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Greater Church, 5095 Lansing Drive W-S, NC with Reverend Walter Bauldrick officiating and Rev. Dr. George C. Banks eulogist.  Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park, Rural Hall, NC.  The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
