Doris Crawford Thompson, 89, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2015. She was born in Lancaster Co., South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Crawford-Bitting; step-father, Joseph S. Bitting; sister, Wilhelmina B. Anderson; and her former husband, Robert Thompson.

Doris is survived by her loving niece and caregiver, Yolanda Hernandez of W-S, NC; nephews, Edward Anderson, Jr. of New York, Deshawn Anderson and Jerry Baxter both of W-S, NC; cousins, Barbara Davis of New York, Paulette Worthy and Ronald Crawford of W-S, NC; a host of other relatives and friends; and especially her close friend, Dorothy Marlin and neighbors, Carol Martin and Daniel and Ann Smith who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, November 13, 2015 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2400 Dellabrook Road W-S, NC with Pastor Donald Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Friday at the Church.
