Obituary
Mrs. Doris Thompson, 73 of 2404 Waughtown Street departed this earthly life on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was a native of Winston-Salem, NC, the daughter of Lonnie and Augusta Gillespie Glenn.
She was a retired certified nursing assistant and was a member of Calvary Kingdom Fellowship where she was Mother of the Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo Thompson; four brothers; one sister; and two grandchildren.
She is survived by nine children, Brenda Allen, Patricia Glenn, Cedric (Lisa) Glenn, Sharon Glenn Carter, Ronnie Glenn, Linda, Donald, and Kelvin Thompson, and Alice (Donald) Wallace; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Glenn of Philadelphia, PA; special devoted nephew, Keith Glenn of Maryland; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Russell Funeral Home with Bishop Christopher Brinson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12 Noon until 1pm Wednesday at the chapel.
