Mrs. Doretha Dorcas Ridgill Mack of Assembly Terrace, W-S, NC was born to Rev. Garfield and Maebell Pendergrass Ridgill on May 28, 1923, in Manning, SC. She made her journey to her heavenly home on the evening of Friday, January 22, 2016 from the KBR Hospice and Palliative Care Home in W-S, NC after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Mack was married to the late Lewis James Mack and they were the parents of seven children.

She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 60 years.

Mrs. Mack was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Nelson Ridgill, Garfield A. Ridgill, Jr. (Odessa Anthony), Harvey D. Ridgill, and Beatrice Ridgill Kelly (Laughton Al); and a great-grandson, Jason William Hampton.

Mrs. Mack leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Argress Kay Polite (John), Alphia Mack, Angelene Hampton (Lewis), Anteria Walker (Russell), and Adrienne Freda Campbell (Calvin); sons, Lewis Dale Mack and Kirk Mack (Brenda); 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sarah "Honey" Ridgill; sisters-in-law, Frances Jones Mack and Rev. Claudette Mack; brother in-law, Clinton Hiawatha Mack; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, January 29, 2016 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. John Mendez officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Friday at the Church.

The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at KBR Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Winston-Salem for the warm, compassionate care given to our mother while in her home and during her stay at the Care Home.
