Donavan Elijah Whitehead was born January 23, 1994 in Newark, NJ and passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in the comfort of his home after battling a long fought illness.

Donavan graduated from North Forsyth High School in 2012 where he played on the football and wrestling teams.  He was an avid lover of all sports, with the New Orleans Saints as his favorite football team.  He was loved by every single person he came across and always will be.

Donavan was preceded in death by his aunt, Kimberly Clark; and his grandfather, Neal Jones.

He is survived by his mother, Yvonne Whitehead; father, William (Vivian) Figueroa; twin sister, Dominique; sisters, Ashley, Meagan, and Dakota; brothers, Robert and William; aunts, Dee Dee, Joyce, Roise, Haydee, and Tarlinda; uncles, Mel, Chris, and Rick; niece, Madelynn; grandmother, Haydee; and a host of many other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Richards officiating.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Monday at the Chapel.
