Donald Lee Wilson Sr. went to glory on August 8, 2017.  He was born October 25, 1949 to Hattie Ruth Prisock Wilson & Ulysses Wilson, Jr.  He attended public schools in Winston-Salem Forsyth County.  He was employed at Jepson Burns and made a career as a sheet metal mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jimmy Lee Wilson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his three devoted sons, Donald (Wanda) L. Wilson Jr., Ethan(Michelle) E. Wilson, and Deran L. Wilson; seven grandchildren, Donald L. Wilson III, Jachi Duran Wilson, Julianna L. Wilson, Jada A. Wilson, Bryant Wilson, Brycen Wilson and Promise Wilson; one great grandchild, Ki'ala J. Wilson; four brothers, Sylvester Sr., Rickie, Reginald and Johnathan(Trina) Wilson, Sr. three sisters, Annette W. Connelly, Wanda (Larry) Irby, and Mona Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Deaconess Diane Turner, officiating and Pastor Lewis G. Robinson, eulogist. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:00noon on Monday at the Chapel.
