Mr. Don S. Coad "Donnie", 62, of 1234 Gholston Drive was born July 14, 1955 to Myrtle Nellie Coad and Don S. Coad, Sr.

He attended public school in North Carolina and went to New York to finish High School.

Don was preceded in death by his wife Desiréé Thrasher; his mother and father; brothers, Ricky Coad and Ronald Perry; and niece, Andria Coad.

Don was called to glory on Tuesday, August 2, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. He loved his family and was very affectionate. We called him "Donnie Boy."

He leaves to cherish loving memories and the legacy of his love to daughters, Donyelle Coad, Sharekia Thrasher, and Shanell "Nellie" Brown; sons, Phadon Coad, Aaron Morris, Dante Thrasher, Donnell Thrasher, and Dashiem Thrasher; sons-in-law, Bernard Martin, and Jerome Brown; daughters-in-law, Maya Sobers and Desiréé Monegro.; fifteen grandchildren; sisters, Chiquita Coad, Sharon Coad, and Deborah Coad; brothers, Darryl Coad, Craig Coad, Sharpe Pitts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, August 10, 2017 in Piedmont Memorial Gardens with Rev. Raymond Banner, Jr. officiating.
