Direz Lukeem Shannon, affectionately known as "Rez," 31, was born February 10, 1990, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Warren Arthur Shannon and Joy Manns Shannon.

He attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and was presently employed at Dewey's bakery as a Mixer.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Arthur Shannon and Jimmy Manns.

Left to cherish precious memories are his five children; his loving father and mother, Warren and Joy Shannon; devoted grandmothers, Mary Hilton and Doretha Shannon; siblings, Santonio McDuffie, Annie Manns, William Manns, Warren Shannon and Warnetta Shannon; his loving companion, Cassie Martinez; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
